Whether you're experienced or simply just beginning, there is a place for you in our Ballroom Dancing Class!

In 19^th century Eastern Europe, options for young women are few, and the study of Torah and Talmud are forbidden. Yentil’s only hope of pursuing her dreams is to disguise herself as a boy in order to learn. But when she falls in love, she must decide whether or not to reveal the truth. For everyone who has wanted to do something and was told they couldn’t, and for everyone who has loved the wrong person for the right reason, this beautifully written play with music resonates with pure magic.

Chair Yoga is a terrific alternative to traditional yoga for our residents. This exercise is not strenuous on muscles, yet it successfully gets the blood flowing and aids in meditation, breathing techniques, etc. At Jacaranda Trace, we tailor our programming to fit the needs of our residents, and offering Chair Yoga is a part of that.

The first of many to come, the Wellness University Lunch & Learn introduced Dr. Ronald DeMasi, Board Certified in Gastroenterology. He discussed Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and ways that individuals can prevent and treat the disease. The was a wonderfully informative luncheon enjoyed by many.

Residents attended Van Wezel for this wonderful show in January. Faust, fly balls, and devilishly good fun all meet at the home plate of the 7 Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Damn Yankees. A 1950s middle aged baseball fanatic trades his soul to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team in the pennant race. Filled with his songs like, Whatever Lola Wants and You Gotta Have Heart, this show is a musical comedy home run!

Theresa Stevens is a Hearing Aids specialist with the Hearing Centers of Charlotte County. Each month, she comes to our very own Wellness Center to helps residents with hearing aids needs, check for ear wax build-up, etc. In January, however, she presented a special seminar on Wireless Technologies with Hearing Aids. Many benefited from this educational event.

Young Pharmacies are independent, family-owned pharmacies serving southwest Florida.  They utilize the most current technology to maintain your medication profile and screen for drug interactions when they fill your prescriptions, while continuing to provide old-fashioned, personal, efficient service. In January they were scheduled to come to Jacaranda Trace and answer any questions you may have concerning your personal medications.
