Artwork by Frances Smith is now on display in the Jacaranda Trace Art Gallery. Frances attended Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and Ringling School of Art. She has been a freelance artist for over 30 years specializing in acrylic, watercolor and pastel and also is trained in stained glass, calligraphy and wall murals. Her animal art is featured in Ann Jacobs Gallery in Highlands, NC. Frances has taught both children and adult art classes for many years and has won numerous awards for her work. She is the creator of the “circus mural” that is painted on a wall leading to the Circus Bridge (south bridge) on Venice Island.
She is currently teaches Advanced Drawing, Portraits, Animal Art, Beginning Drawing, Basic Drawing, Watercolor and she specializes in a drawing class of life-size animals on wood that are free standing. She can be contacted at 941-497-2452.
