We are truly celebrating the partnership with Venice Regional Medical Center in a big way! Jacaranda Trace held a Welcome Reception so that our residents and the VRMC staff could get well acquainted with one another. Guests were pleasantly surprised at the new services being offered and the benefits of our new relationship with VRMC.

Meet Cindy Day, Pauline Byers and Kathy Carbone, the newest additions to Jacaranda Trace. They will be coordinating all events in our Rehabilitation Center, offering beneficial classes that will focus on healthy living and balance. Living at Jacaranda Trace is an all-inclusive experience. From your dining needs and physical fitness, to having the opportunity to consult with your doctor and rehab close to home, everything you desire is close at hand. Welcome VRMC staff!

There is so much that life on the JT campus has to offer. One of the features that our residents and their guests often take advantage of is the business center. This room is equipped with computers with internet access, a fax machine and printing machine and plenty of reference books.

Neighbor #1:

My favorite childhood memory is of the time I got to ride on a float in a parade. I also loved the moment I took my first dive off of a board! I worked in ER & Psychiatric nursing. I also had an Italian Cuisine for 11 years with my family. I am one of five children. Although I was born in Queens, NY, I spent 35 years in NJ. I have one son. I have enjoyed my travels to Canada, London, Belgium, Greece and Turkey. Sailing, golf, ceramics, sewing, cooking and baseball have always been enjoyable activities to me. In high school, I played sports and was a cheerleader. I live by the motto, "life is good!" Who am I?
Neighbor #2:

I always love thinking back on my mother's cooking. I also enjoyed my first eight years of education in a one room school-house. I worked in the farmland industry for 23 years and in the American Textile Mills as well. I have two sisters and one brother who live in Kansas. I enjoy gardening, cruising in Alaska and Europe, and reading in my spare time. I moved to Nokomis in 1999 and built two houses before moving into Jacaranda Trace. Who am I?

This landmark exhibition brings to life one of the greatest civilizations in the history of the world, spotlighting astonishing objects of every kind.Mummy cases and sacred works in diverse media, tomb and temple reliefs, papyrus fragments, alabaster vessels, and rare objects comprised of precious stones make this one of the most dramatic shows ever presented at the MFA. The 100 works demonstrate the genius of ancient craftsmen, and the magical or spiritual qualities of the objects are revealed at every turn. The internationally respected Egyptologist Dr. Robert Steven Bianchi is the guest curator.

Dave’s repertoire includes thousands of songs -- from popular standards of the ‘40’s, ‘50’s and ‘60’s to favorites from Broadway and Hollywood. Dave started playing the piano by ear when he was five and hasn’t stopped.  For many years while working full-time in a Madison Avenue ad agency, he moonlighted at his own late-night piano bar. This evening entertainment will have you singing along with classics you are all familiar with!

Local High School ensemble Le Voci di Venezia will perform, in full Renaissance garb, a selection of Madrigals for which they are noted. The chamber opera will follow after a brief intermission. Ariane Beauchamp, Cello and Genevieve Beauchamp, Pian, will satisfy audiences with an impressive array of classically known music.
