Arts & Leisure organizes outings to all local and many distant theatrical venues. The Players Theatre is one of the most popular venues offered, as it offers award winning musicals such as the smash-hit, Kiss Me Kate. This rendition of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew was applauded by the audience, and our residents cannot wait to see what the remaining season holds. The Arts & Leisure staff handles all ticket orders and arranges for transportation to drop off residents at the door of the venue. Season tickets to other popular venues, such as Venice Theatre, Asolo Theatre and Venice Symphony are advertised, as well. Jacaranda Trace offers a lifestyle of convenience, comfort and culture!

Jonny Leverock's is a Seafood House located in scenic Cape Haze. The quality of the food at this restaurant is memorable, and the Jacaranda Trace residents thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the evening and the freshness of the menu. All of the restaurants we attend are selected by residents. We arrange outings to local and distant eateries, always with our residents' taste in mind!

Local author Ann Favreau presented her book Window Eyes to the residents of our community in September. The vivid depictions and stories of her travels worldwide were captivating and compelling. She described the experiences of her travels with enthusiasm and joy. Her book describes what makes the people of the world unique, and her presentation left the crowd wanting more.

The Breast Cancer Networking Group is a support group organized by  the Cancer Support Community. Each month, this group comes together at Jacaranda Trace for a time of open discussion. Maintaining strong ties with a group of those who have experienced this illness has been shown to positively influence participants. The group also enjoys lunch in The Bistro, Jacaranda Trace's casual dining area which overlooks the pool.

The Hearing Center of Southwest Florida is onsite on a monthly basis. This convenient service allows residents with hearing issues to visit a specialist without ever leaving their home community. At your visit you can be treated for wax build-up, undergo a hearing test or ever be fit for hearing aids. Making an appointment is simple in the Wellness Center, which has led more of our residents to use the onsite health services offered at Jacaranda Trace.

The Reverse Nature Painting class was a unique activity coordinated by Arts & Leisure in that it allowed those with artistic interest and little experience the opportunity to create a one of a kind, wearable keepsake. The technique utilized common household items and greeery found in nature to create patterns on a shirt of their choice. It is the diversity of programming like this that keeps residents involved and learning throughout their golden years.

Lady luck shines down on our residents here at Jacaranda Trace! There are many residents who enjoy the casino environment, so twice a year Arts & Leisure coordinates a day outing to Seminole Hard Rock Casino. Participants ride comfortably in our spacious bus, and many times come back with big earnings!

Moving into a new community can be intimidating at times; but when you become a Club Member at Jacaranda Trace, you certainly aren't alone. Our Welcome Committee has been designed with new residents in mind. They first introduce themselves at your orientation luncheon, and from there they make sure that you meet others in the community. They invite you to Happy Hour and dinner to ensure you are as comfortable in your new surroundings as possible. This team of residents is ready to welcome you to Jacaranda Trace, your new home!

We cater to a wide variety of interests in our community. Artistic interests, along with an intellectual atmosphere has proven to be quite popular among the residents of Jacaranda Trace. Baila Miller, a master of art history of all medium and genres, presents a different artists on a monthly basis. She educates the group on subjects from Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural influence to the popularity of Art Deco in its time. Her students always walk away with something new they've taken away from her lectures.

The Cadbury Commons Clubhouse offers activities for all interests, especially if you enjoy playing games with friends and guests. The amenities of the Clubhouse are available to Club Members 24 hours daily, which means you can enjoy shooting pool, playing a round of poker or teaming up for Foosball at your leisure. The Fitness Room also includes a ping-pong table and Wii Sports (available for check-out at any time from Arts & Leisure). The variety of gaming equipment in the Clubhouse is sure to please, and guests always enjoy getting in a game or two on the home turf of their parents or grandparents!
