The Venice Gondoliers sing for fun and fellowship and share their music with Civic Clubs, Schools, Retirement Centers and a variety of Community groups. They dress up in our best Barbershop finery for the Annual show, held each March, where you might find them performing Broadway show songs, traditional Barbershop tunes, sacred hymns or rousing patriotic anthems. One of our very own residents is also a part of this wonderful singing group, Mr. Robert Svozil!

They are a nonprofit organization which donates performance proceeds to local School music programs, local Charities, Scholarships and Cultural groups. There are more than thirty who sing with the Venice Gondoliers.

The Five Browns are firing up classical music! Whether performing solos or complex five-piano arrangements, they reveal a deep connection to their material while bringing a fresh energy and dynamic character to classic sounds. The sibling quintet has been dubbed the “Fab Five” by People Magazine, featured on Oprah and 60 Minutes, and their first CDs went to #1 on Billboard Magazine’s Classical Album Chart.

One of Venice Theatre’s most popular concerts of all time! Out own Kim Kollar is joined by Cathy Baudrit, Michelle Pryun and trumpet virtuoso Charly Raymond in a loving tribute to performers that provided the soundtrack for “America’s Greatest Generation.”

The North Port Performing Arts Association consists of the North Port Band, Orchestra, and Chorale. This unique collection of local musicians is always sure to please its audience with a wide variety of holiday inspired tunes and classic arrangements. The Joy of Christmas performance rang in the winter season with unsurpassed cheer, talent and enthusiasm!

The Weintraub Duo, comprised of Nancy on the Piano and Jason on the English Horn and Oboe, was magnificent in their concert at Jacaranda Trace. They presented "From the Land of the Midnight Sun," and our community audience was simply raving over their performance. The numbers they played included music from Norway, Russia and Finland.

Arts & Leisure organizes outings to all local and many distant theatrical venues. The Players Theatre is one of the most popular venues offered, as it offers award winning musicals such as the smash-hit, Kiss Me Kate. This rendition of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew was applauded by the audience, and our residents cannot wait to see what the remaining season holds. The Arts & Leisure staff handles all ticket orders and arranges for transportation to drop off residents at the door of the venue. Season tickets to other popular venues, such as Venice Theatre, Asolo Theatre and Venice Symphony are advertised, as well. Jacaranda Trace offers a lifestyle of convenience, comfort and culture!

Arts & Leisure coordinates top-notch entertainers each month to swoon our residents with their vocal and insturmental talents. In August, Billy Holley was one of our featured entertainers. His vocal presentation of tunes "Down Memory Lane" brought musical pleasure to the evening.
