Ever wonder what it would be like to swim with the largest mammals on Earth? What a humbling experience it would be to be near the majestic creatures as they emerged out of the sea, and crash back down into the ocean depths. Our residents had the opportunity to meet someone who did just that, and view a documentary about her experience. They learned so much and felt like they were very close to the experience - all without getting their feet wet!

Rosalie Gould, resident of Jacaranda Trace, has not only had a interesting life, but an influential one, as well. She was mayor of a town in Arkansas, when she came to learn about the Japanese Interment camps that had once been there soon after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She has had a strong hand in preserving those campsites and historical landmarks. Her presentation was captivating and informative. Theresa Stevens is a Hearing Aids specialist with the Hearing Centers of Charlotte County. Each month, she comes to our very own Wellness Center to helps residents with hearing aids needs, check for ear wax build-up, etc. In January, however, she presented a special seminar on Wireless Technologies with Hearing Aids. Many benefited from this educational event.
