The talent of Jacaranda Trace residents is truly astounding. Don Deeks, resident photographer, compiled some of his favorite images that he's taken for an exhibit held for all Club Members to behold. Up close photos of lions on the plains of Africa, Mexican dancers from his latest cruise experience and a mysterious owl perched alone on a tree branch were only some of the classic images in the exhibit. His eye for the right angles and lighting, among other things, are quite impressive!

Cruising the canals in the city of Punta Gorda has been a Christmas family tradition for more than 30 years.
City residents do a fabulous job decorating their backyards, seawalls, boats and docks with Christmas lights and decorations. Boats of all shapes and sizes cruise the canals during the evenings in December to enjoy this warm display of community Christmas spirit.

Southeastern Guide Dogs visit our community on a the first and third Tuesdays of each month. This "Pet Therapy" would bring out puppy love in anyone! Studies reveal that spending time with canines can be beneficial to your overall well being. Join us in the ALF Parlor for some time with the pups, they're sure to brighten your day!

Holidays are done in style at Jacaranda Trace! Labor Day was celebrated with a scrumptious buffet of all-American classics, and the Auditorium of decorated in patriotic fashion. Friends gathered together for an afternoon of leisure and fellowship.

Mah Jongg is a Chinese game played by four players at a time. What started as an urge to launch a small group of players has quickly become a highly successful weekly event. This game keeps independent living residents involved in an intellectually and socially stimulating activity. Join us Wednesdays for a game!

Qigong is a relaxing form of exercise that aides Jacaranda Trace residents in balance techniques, controlled breathing and meditation. Participants enjoy mastering these unique movement exercises in a group setting. Many individuals find this activity to meet both physical and spiritual needs.
