The April Parkinson Support Group will feature an exercise therapist from Venice Regional Medical Center that will detail exercises especially for people with Parkinson's Disease.  Support Group date:  Thursday April 5 in the 2nd Floor of Cadbury Commons, 3600 William Penn Way, Venice Florida.

 

The Sarasota Ballet is the Gulf Coast of Florida’s first and only professional ballet company. Under the Direction of Iain Webb, the Sarasota Ballet has expanded its repertoire to include works by world renowned choreographers such as Sir Frederick Ashton, Dame Ninette de Valois, Antony Tudor, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Robert North, John Cranko, Hans van Manen, Andre Prokovsky, Matthew Bourne and Dominic Walsh. The Great Masters Performance included Sir Frederick Ashton’s The Two Pigeons and
The Sarasota Ballet and The Suzanne Farrell Ballet performance of George Balanchine’s Diamonds.

The Roskamp Institute held a Veterans Day Opening Reception with tours of the facility available in November. This impressive organization also researches Parkinson's Disease and how it can be better understood as well as prevented in the future. Honoring Veterans, such as those residing at Jacaranda Trace, is a priority at events like this.

Leaving a legacy to your children and grandchildren is an important, yet potentially overwhelming task. This particular class instructs one how to go about organizing the events in their own life, so that they can easily record and organize it into one fabulous heirloom! This resident driven course is something you don't want to miss.

Arts & Leisure has teamed up with Isings Travel for the past 5 years. Together, they have created all-inclusive travel opportunities for Jacaranda Trace Club Members and their guests. Jeanne Van Houten led an inviting presentation of the travel options available in 2012. Some of the trips being offered are The Beautiful Baltic of Scandinavia & Russia, Pacific Northwest's Columbia & Snake Rivers and The Music Lover's Trip to Nashville, TN. In the past, our residents have always enjoyed their experiences through Isings Travel, as their services are unsurpassed by other agencies.

Hurricane Protection at Jacaranda Trace

When Jacaranda Trace was constructed Roskamp & Patterson Management realized residents should not have a concern for safety. Violent winds alone are not the major cause of window failure during a hurricane, the real cause is flying objects. A code for hurricane protection now focuses on impact protection for windows and doors, not just wind velocity. To protect our community PGT WinGuard Impact Resistant Windows and Doors combined with heavy duty aluminum frames with impact resistant glass were installed. A special silicone glazing process keeps the glass from breaking away from the frame, preventing destructive wind from entering your condominium.

Impact resistant glass is comprised of two glass panes bonded with special interlayer of clear polyvinylbutral, similar to auto windshields, but is three times stronger. It provides amazing protection against flying debris.

Continuous power
Two generators powered by natural gas allow residents to weather a storm or at least its aftermath in unprecedented comfort. These generators will supply a constant fly of electricity when grid power may be interrupted. This will supply power not only to your individual condominium, but to the dining area, (kitchen) and elevators. We have full backup and you won't be kept in the dark or without air conditioning during storms or adverse weather.
