Often seen and heard on PBS and NPR, The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since then this no-holds-barred political comedy act has become one of the country’s favorites. No elected official is safe when the Capitol Steps are in the house!

Arts & Leisure organizes outings to all local and many distant theatrical venues. The Players Theatre is one of the most popular venues offered, as it offers award winning musicals such as the smash-hit, Kiss Me Kate. This rendition of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew was applauded by the audience, and our residents cannot wait to see what the remaining season holds. The Arts & Leisure staff handles all ticket orders and arranges for transportation to drop off residents at the door of the venue.
