Each week Dining Services designs a new menu. Our chefs strive to bring a collaboration of flavors, cooking techniques, and ingredient varieties to the diners of our community. As a result, the Dining Room is often busy each night of the week. New Menu Night is a special night, though, where not only a range of new dishes are offered, but drinks are half priced with dinner!

Hand and Foot is a card game similar to Canasta, which  involves four players in partnership. Many of our Cadbury Commons Club Members enjoy this game, and play it on a weekly basis. Being involved in games such as Hand and Foot keeps their mind stimulated and allows them to socialize with friends that have like interests. Jacaranda Trace even has a room exclusively dedicated to residents playing organized card games!

The Sundries Shop & Barclay Pharmacy is a special feature of the Clubhouse at Jacaranda Trace. This onsite shop sells everything from greeting cards and over the counter medicine, to JT memorabilia and candy. The shop is run by resident volunteers and is open three times a week.

Independent living at Jacaranda Trace is stress-free and all inclusive. One way we ensure that our residents have all of their needs met, is by offering BB&T Banking Services throughout the week in our Cadbury Commons Club House. On Tuesdays and Thursdays a teller from the Venice branch is available to cash checks, takes deposits and open accounts. On-site financial services set Jacaranda Trace apart as an independent living community that cares for your needs!

We are sensitive to the spiritual needs of our residents and provide activities which allow them to nurture and grow their beliefs on a weekly basis. One such activity comes in the form of Communion Services. Those involved come together as a group to pray and partake in this holy ceremony. Communion Services are just one of many activities on-site that emphasize spiritual growth.

It's time for movies and popcorn! All of our movies are selected by residents and shown on Thursday evenings and weekends. Films are shown in our very own Movie Room which allows residents the opportunity to fellowship with friends over classics from the silver screen. Movies are also available for checkout from our growing movie library.

Yoga combines the balance of mind, body and spirit. Our certified Yoga instructor helps those involved to feel at ease both inside and out. This calming, yet challenging exercise aids in stretching techniques and meditation. Yoga poses focus on all muscle groups and allow for great spiritual insight and tranquility.

Bingo has become extremely popular with the residents of Jacaranda Trace. Every Wednesday night they come together hoping to be lucky enough to win the coveted $100 coverall prize. This mid-week activity brings friends together after dinner for a little bit of friendly competition. Players line up to pick a "lucky card," and then the games begin!

Water Aerobics is one of the best ways for seniors to maintain a healthy, independent lifestyle. Club Members may join a fun-filled class multiple times a week and learn low-stress exercising techniques. Water aerobics is perfect for those suffering with joint related illnesses and has helped many of our residents reverse their symptoms. The instructor finds creative ways to keep participants moving, all while enjoying time in the warm Florida sunshine.

It's all about the luck of the draw here at Jacaranda Trace! Our Poker Clubs are busy throughout the week playing Five Card Draw, Texas Hold 'em  and Stud Poker. One highlight that the Arts & Leisure Department offers twice a year is a grand trip to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. This outing keeps our lucky players in the game and on top with their earnings. The stakes are high, so join us for a round or two and test your fortune!
