Dedicated To Helping Our Residents Live The Healthiest Lives Possible!

Improve • Maintain • Recover

ideal coupleJacaranda Trace is dedicated to helping our Residents live the healthiest lives possible. Therefore, we offer a wide variety of choices in health related services, programs, and professionals – all located on our campus. Our goal is to give our Residents quality options to improve and maintain their current health, plus be in a better position to recover quickly and effectively from a health-related setback. Living Well at Jacaranda Trace means providing options for our Residents that improve and support their Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Social needs.

Our Living Well offerings can be divided into six different categories:

  • Fitness and Nutrition
  • Activities and Social Events
  • Emergency Response
  • Health Care Professionals and Services
  • Emotional Support
  • Residential Care Options

Physical Fitness Jacaranda Trace offers a wide range of physical fitness options multiple times each week designed for all abilities. In addition, our fitness center is available for those who prefer to work out on their own. Every Club Member also has access to the Venice YMCA. A trainer is available Tuesdays and Thursdays to help Residents design their fitness program. Personal Training is available for an additional fee.

Brain Fitness

Jacaranda Trace Residents have access to the Dakim Brain Fitness Program. A computer-based system that allows the Resident, on an individual basis, to challenge and engage their brain in a series of clinically developed brain exercises to improve memory on a regular basis.

Jacaranda Trace offers the flexibility in our Dining Program to meet the special needs of our Residents. We can accommodate low sodium, gluten free, and many other dietary restrictions at the request of the Resident. Many of our Residents want to take advantage of the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet and we therefore offer a selection in our daily dining menus.

Activities and Social Events

One of the most important benefits that the Residents of Jacaranda Trace enjoy is our active social environment and overall sense of community. Each month our Arts and Leisure Department staff plan everything from bridge to pottery to “Happy Hour.” Entertainment is regularly brought in to our spacious Auditorium and there are outings available to local entertainment, sports, and events throughout the year. We also have an active “travel club” that includes cruises and exciting adventure trips accompanied by Jacaranda Trace personnel.

Emergency Response

It is reassuring to know that if you have a personal emergency anywhere on our campus you have the ability to immediately summon our qualified personnel. This is an important aspect of life at Jacaranda Trace. All Residents are provided with the Lifeline System Pendants. Once activated, this system allows our Nurses or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) to come to your aid anywhere on the Jacaranda Trace Campus – including directly to your residence. The safety of this system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Health Care Professionals and Services

When you have a health-related setback, or if you just need to see a healthcare professional, you want to have total control of who you choose to use. However, Jacaranda Trace’s philosophy is to get you home as quickly as possible if you are in a situation that requires recovery. With that concept in mind, we have a variety of healthcare professionals that provide their service on our campus. These include doctors, therapists, home care nurses, and CNA’s. We have strong relationships with those whom we allow to be part of our program, and have complete confidence they will serve our Residents well. Included in your Club fee is access to our Community Nurse who is happy to take your blood pressure or help you with health issues you may experience.
